Fort Collins

Ft Collins is the third largest city in Colorado it’s nickname is “The Choice City”. Fort Collins is considered the center city of Northern Colorado. It has long been the largest and most developed city in the area. It is also home to many national companies like HP, Intel, Broadcom, and many many more. Fort Collins is also the world headquarters for both Woodward Corp and Otterbox. There is also plenty of shopping with Foothills a life style mall and The Front Range Village.

In 2017 the city is nearing a population of 165,000 and more coming almost every day. The city is well known for it’s vast amount of parks and open space. With the Poudre River making it’s way through the center of the city it gives the town a whole other dimension. The amount of trails in the city is mind boggling including trails all around the surrounding foothills.

The school system is rated as one of the top in the nation. And we are consistently listed as a favorite place to live, retire or form a small business with over 400 restaurants and counting as the favorite business. Fort Collins is also one of the nations largest craft brewing centers per capita and the home of New Belgium Brewing one of the largest in the nation.

Old Town Square is the heart of Fort Collins. There are many unique shops, restaurants of every kind, micro breweries, arts and entertainment. It is a vibrant place to be and this energy is heighten by all the young people who spend time there. Many of the eating places have outside areas where people can enjoy the vibrant energy and a meal too. People watching is a favorite pastime. The historic old town area is truly is a sight to behold. The area is almost a completely restored area dating from the 1860’s and is famous all across the nation, it even has a fully restored Birney trolley dating to the early 1900’s. The trolley runs spring and summer down the stately old street Mountain Ave and will be soon joined by another trolley which is now being restored.

The city is the home of the main campus of Colorado State University with an enrollment near 30,000 resident students. CSU is nationally known for their Veterinarian Medicine School as well as Agriculture, Forestry and Engineering. The university and the city is located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. The CSU campus stretches all the way from college ave, the cities main street, to it’s foothills campus which has a research division of the CDC as well as other facilities. CSU has been on a growth cycle in recent years adding many new buildings for teaching and research as well as a brand new hospital for students and one of the most advanced campus football stadiums in the country. The inaugural season will be fall 2017.

Fort Collins has so many attributes that besides being the healthiest city of its size in the country it has been voted best place to retire, best place to work, and best place to live among many other awards. It has many great subdivision and every price range of home. Many national builders build here as well as local custom builders.
